Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting of complex systems and equipment to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical problems and optimize system performance.
  • Perform testing procedures to validate instrument functionality, diagnose failures, and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain instrument function and conduct sequencing runs.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop new process parameters and manufacturing methods.
  • Support flow cell development and manufacturing scale-up.
  • Collect and analyze data to support process characterization and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Prepare and execute SOPs, work instructions, and experimental test plans.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in chemical, biochemical, materials, biomedical engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience working with biotechnology instrumentation and fluidic hardware (pumps, tubing, valves, etc.).
  • Very detailed and self-motivated. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fast learner, adept and comfortable using computers & new software.
  • Good communication skills and team player.
  • High critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and adept at precise & delicate hands-on work.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to rapidly changing requirements, priorities, and tight schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
  • Verification & Validation (V&V), design of experiments (DOE), root cause analysis (RCA), rapid prototyping.
  • Experience with basic programming principles (Matlab, Python, Java, etc.).
  • Core fundamentals of math & sciences: mechanics, electronics, basic biology, etc.
  • Familiarity with both biotechnology instrumentation and wet-laboratory techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing or microfabrication will be an advantage.
  • Experience in wet processing, visual inspections, and assembly for chip fabrication will be an advantage.
