Role Summary: The Medical Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting routine imaging examinations in line with established protocols and regulations, under the guidance of the attending clinician. This position demands a high level of accuracy and efficiency in delivering patient care in a dynamic environment. The Medical Imaging Specialist ensures that every patient receives top-notch clinical care and an outstanding experience from our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Imaging Duties:
    • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, guiding them to appropriate areas and providing necessary instructions.
    • Operate imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images, adjusting settings to meet examination specifications.
    • Implement safety measures to protect patients and staff during imaging processes.
    • Maintain imaging equipment and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
    • Ensure compliance with all imaging workflows and documentation procedures.
  • Support Duties:
    • Conduct drug and alcohol testing as required.
    • Assist in preparing patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and performing necessary tests.
    • Support clinicians during examinations and treatments.
    • Handle routine medical procedures as directed by the attending clinician.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the facility.
    • Perform clerical tasks related to patient care and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program and state certification.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with current certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.

Experience:

  • At least six months of experience in a medical assistant role, with familiarity in medical procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong customer service orientation and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information in compliance with regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data entry.
