Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform intermediate-level duties to provide specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services.
  • Aid medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of various conditions across adult and/or pediatric patient populations.
  • Maintain competencies required for the role and uphold high standards of patient-centric care and support services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical outcomes and service expectations.
  • Utilize specialized imaging equipment and techniques for a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews independently to ensure completion of required study elements and adherence to protocols.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform quality control checks, cleaning, and maintenance following manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines.
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies and enhance care quality.
  • Provide instruction and mentorship to less experienced team members and present in-service training in the specialized service area.
  • Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as directed.
  • Uphold professional, polite, and courteous communication while meeting the needs of staff, patients, and families.
  • Exhibit a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment in completing assignments efficiently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • One year of full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional preferred.
  • CT credentials required by the hiring department must be current upon hire or advancement.
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty as defined by ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
