Unit Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Unit Support Assistant to join our team at Dartmouth Health. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a safe, well-supplied, and clean inpatient unit that meets regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the front line representative of the unit, interacting with families and visitors while answering telephone calls and assisting in the overall functioning of the unit.
- Communicate effectively with other departments as needed and coordinate with the Unit leader to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and infection prevention standards.
- Maintain a well-stocked unit by ensuring equipment is available and functioning properly, and utilize support systems and resources to document patient status and flow.
- Access secure medication locations to manage storage, handling, beyond use dating, and disposal of medications consistent with the Medication Storage and Handling Policy.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in computer skills and customer service, with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Able to function in a fast-paced work environment.
- PREFERRED proficiency in Microsoft Office.
