**Job Title:** Direct Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Specialist to join our team at Continuum of Care, Inc. in Connecticut.

Salary: $18.83 - $19.55 per hour, depending on experience and certification level.

Location: Beaumont and Norwich, CT

Job Description:

As a Direct Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live a valued and meaningful life. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and providing emotional support.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring that each individual receives the highest quality care and support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred, with a minimum of one year's experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Connecticut Driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Certification as a Direct Support Professional is preferred.
  • Completion of certifications in CPR, First Aid, PMT, and other required training through DDS and COC.
  • Computer skills to navigate electronic records, access email, and complete documentation.
