Pastoral Care Associate (PRN)

Are you a compassionate and empathetic individual seeking a rewarding career in spiritual care? We are looking for a qualified Pastoral Care Associate (PRN) to join our Texas Health family.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional pastoral and spiritual care to patients and their loved ones, using excellent listening, observational, assessment, and interventional skills.
  • Assess patient and family spiritual resources and vulnerabilities, offering corresponding interventions.
  • Document care in electronic medical record, using Pastoral Care standardized processes.
  • Respond to calls within 10 minutes and arrive within 30 minutes.
  • Participate in Pastoral Care staff meetings and be knowledgeable of and comply with all Pastoral Care Department policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of experience in ministerial or congregational care.
  • Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, or related degree from a Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) accredited theological school.
  • 1 unit of CPE from an ACPE-accredited center (must be completed within 2 years of employment).
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work with and relate to people of all faith traditions and cultural backgrounds.
