We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer or Project Manager to join our team at the City of Port Townsend.

About the Role

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of Public Works projects, ensuring the stewardship of city infrastructure and working towards a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply civil engineering principles and practices in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates related to project design, construction, and maintenance.
  • Work under general supervision from the Deputy Public Works Director to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and city policies.

Requirements

  • Licensed engineer in the State of Washington or ability to obtain a license within 6 months of hire.
  • Graduation from college with a degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's license.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience as a licensed engineer, depending on level of position.
