Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately document patients' medical histories.
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
  • Prepare and oversee urinalysis collections, coordinating with laboratory services.
  • Monitor and document withdrawal symptoms, providing reassurance and support to clients, and ensuring proper follow-up.
  • Assist Registered Nurses in the triage process for screening clients.
  • Communicate clients' medical needs effectively to the Nursing Director.
  • Facilitate seamless client and staff interactions.
  • Engage in the intake process for new clients, assisting in admission decisions under RN supervision.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to engage in all aspects of client care alongside appropriate staff.
  • Conduct routine rounds on clients, implementing timely interventions.
  • Adhere to nursing standards for documentation, medication administration, and assessments.
  • Actively participate in orientation, in-service training, and ongoing education.
  • Provide client education to support and encourage ongoing recovery efforts.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Competencies:

This role involves the practical application of various healthcare concepts, practices, and specialized techniques related to nursing management. Responsibilities may include evaluating and interpreting various factors, inspecting specimens, and ensuring compliance with established standards.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Adhere to Standard Precautions by utilizing personal protective equipment as necessary.

Required Licenses/Certifications:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse credential from the State Board of Nursing in the relevant state or a compact licensure state.
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
  • Degree from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
  • One year of professional experience as an LPN is preferred.
  • Familiarity with substance use treatment modalities and detoxification protocols.
  • Knowledge of clients with chemical dependencies, dual diagnoses, or psychiatric conditions.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements as mandated by the licensing board.
