Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at SonicJobs. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain complete clinical history, gather examination data, and assess for contraindicating conditions.
  • Follow established procedures for the administration of contrast media to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Ensure that all studies have proper patient identification and right and left markers are utilized appropriately.
  • Review radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and release patients.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide for the restocking of the crash cart and maintenance of life support equipment, if applicable.
  • Assist other technologists in all modalities when needed, if applicable.
  • Observe patient condition and properly evaluate situations when physician intervention is necessary to prevent patient deterioration.
  • Verify two unique patient identifiers and correct clinical order prior to performing a procedure, per policy.
  • Ensure patient privacy and comfort are accommodated.
  • Demonstrate competence in the determination and application of appropriate procedures, equipment, supplies, and techniques based on the age of patients.
  • Organize schedule, time, and priorities to accomplish required activities within designated time frames.
  • Use critical thinking skills, ask clarifying questions, and seek clarification on ambiguous orders.
  • Understand, demonstrate, and document preprocedural verification and Time Out process, when applicable.
  • Maintain competency with venipuncture, where applicable.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to function independently and under pressure while actively participating in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize appropriately and multitask effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
