We are currently seeking a motivated Vice President of Hospice Services to lead our expanding Community and Hospice Inpatient programs. This pivotal leadership role will report directly to the President of Catholic Health and will oversee clinical management of nursing and interdisciplinary services, as well as program growth, financial stewardship, quality assurance, and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic initiatives and objectives related to hospice care, patient satisfaction, and interdisciplinary services to enhance clinical performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide leadership to optimize program efficiency, accountability, and revenue generation.
  • Engage in the investigation of incidents, infection control, and patient/physician feedback systems, systematically analyzing this data for trends and implementing necessary changes in service delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to all corporate and vendor agreements, standards of care, and program policies.
  • Actively participate in initiatives aimed at increasing service area census in community settings, skilled nursing facilities, and inpatient environments.
  • Formulate and assess action plans to address clinical performance issues, including quality assurance, performance improvement, safety, and standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with the President and other stakeholders to plan and prioritize goals that enhance the mission of hospice within Catholic Health and the broader community.
  • Establish strategic goals in partnership with other Catholic Health facilities to promote program growth and service expansion, identifying new business opportunities.
  • Create an annual staffing plan aligned with budgetary goals, ensuring an optimal mix of full-time, part-time, and contract staff.
  • Innovate and apply best practices for change management to maximize the impact of key initiatives.
  • Prepare and monitor agency budgets, including projected volumes and financial assumptions, ensuring achievement of productivity, staffing, revenue, and expense management targets.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field is required.
  • Current and valid NY State license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Medical Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, hospice principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven ability to assess patient population needs and plan for the delivery of high-quality care with successful outcomes.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills are required.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is USD $175,000 to USD $225,000 per year. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual compensation will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Additional forms of compensation may apply, and benefits are included.
