Job Title: Inpatient Consultant

At Solventum, we are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical documentation integrity team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Validate and apply software modules related to coding and training
  • Collaborate with coding and clinical team members and external clients to present clinical and coding concepts
  • Implement and support Clinical Documentation Integrity programs in multiple facilities
  • Lead audit tasks of medical record coding, documentation, compliance, and DRG assignment
  • Participate in relevant corporate programs/initiatives and ensure professional, quality, and security standards are complied with
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) years of experience as a coding professional or clinical experience
  • OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and eleven (11) years of clinical or coding experience
  • RHIT with CCS certification with five (5) years of clinical coding experience
  • Five (5) years of CDI experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in HIM, Nursing, or other healthcare clinical background (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Valid RN License with five (5) years acute care experience and recognized CDI credential from ACDIS (CCDS) or AHIMA (CDIP)
  • Experience with telecommuting, working with EMRs, and other electronic tools
  • Knowledgeable in 3M HIS software portfolio (360 Encompass)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs
Work Environment:

Remote USA

May include up to 50% travel domestically
