We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Alfa Laval. As a key member of our Service Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on equipment, including manual lathes, milling machines, vertical boring machines, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, ovens, dye pen booths, lighting, pumps, filters, electrical lift tables, forklifts, balancing equipment, and more.
- Preventative Maintenance: Plan and implement daily, weekly, monthly, and annual schedules of preventative maintenance activities to ensure facility and equipment are safe and in good working order.
- Equipment Repair: Recommend and perform the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems.
- Collaboration: Work with plant operators to improve equipment uptime, capacity utilization, and efficiency.
- Documentation: Complete documentation needed to support troubleshooting procedures and data reports.
- PM Activities: Plan, manage, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities using PM software.
- Waste Management: Document PM activities, waste records, and provide documentation to AL management for tracking purposes.
- 24/7 Support: Provide emergency response support, including on-site visits, as needed.
- Education: High school diploma with 5 or more years of relevant experience and general knowledge of PLCs or processors. Associate degree or trade school experience preferred.
- Experience: Familiarity with automation technology, including automated cranes, pumps, filters, motors, lathes. Industrial electrician with 3 years minimum electrical and mechanical experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers, demonstrated ability to understand Piping, Instrumentation Diagrams (PID), blueprints, drawings, sketches, manuals, and work instructions. Committed to quality, technically competent, and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
