US Oncology, Inc. is seeking a skilled Clinical Research Coordinator or Clinical Research RN to join their team in Norfolk. This exciting opportunity requires an Associate's degree in a clinical or scientific related discipline and experience in clinical research.
In this role, you will be responsible for screening patients for protocol eligibility, participating in informed consent, and enrolling patients on protocol. Your key duties will also include collecting and maintaining regulatory documents, scheduling monitoring and auditing visits, and interacting with monitors/auditors while onsite.
As a Clinical Research Coordinator or Clinical Research RN, you will collaborate with physicians to review patients for changes in condition and adverse events, coordinate patient care, and communicate with physicians regarding study requirements and adverse event reporting. Additionally, you will work directly with other research bases and/or sponsors, oversee the preparation of orders by physicians, and ensure compliance with protocol requirements.
Successful candidates will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and experience with computer data entry and database management. For Nurse Candidates, additional qualifications include a Graduate from an accredited program for nursing education (BSN preferred), minimum of one (1) year nursing experience preferably in oncology, and current licensure as an RN in Virginia.
