Position Title: Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 2:00 pm – 12:30 am, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid breaks.

Role Summary:

The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes. This position involves operating and overseeing machinery to guarantee that products are produced according to precise specifications while complying with safety regulations. Responsibilities include machine setup, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting minor issues to reduce downtime. A keen attention to detail and strict adherence to quality control measures are essential for achieving production targets. The ideal candidate will be proactive and work collaboratively with team members to facilitate smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely set up and operate machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor machinery during operation to identify any issues or malfunctions.
  • Adjust machine settings as necessary.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Work with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting and familiarity with power tools.
  • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a machine operator.
  • Technical or vocational training in machinery or manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with computerized control systems and automated machinery.
  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
