About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Echocardiographer to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a key member of our mobile imaging team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality echocardiographic services to patients in their homes or at various service locations in the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Echocardiography Studies: Travel to various locations to perform echocardiography studies for patients, utilizing portable echocardiography equipment and technical knowledge and skills.
  • Follow Company Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and protocols while performing echo exams, ensuring the highest level of quality and patient care.
  • Operate Portable Ultrasonic Equipment: Safely and effectively operate portable ultrasonic equipment with cardiac capabilities at patient's bedside or other designated exam settings.
  • Prepare and Position Patients: Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Process and Transmit Images: Process images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians, and transmit them in a timely manner according to company protocols.
  • Maintain Equipment and Records: Clean and disinfect equipment according to company procedures, and maintain accurate records of work performed, including patient information and exam results.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest industry developments, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification, and state license to perform echocardiography studies, including one or more of the following: Adult Cardiac Sonographer with a satisfactory completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program, ARDMS registered in adult echocardiography with RDCS (AE) designation, or CCI registered with Cardiac Sonographer designation.
  • Experience and Skills: Possess a minimum of two years' experience as a cardiac sonographer or vascular technologist, with excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and organize daily assignments, and ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds, and work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
