About the Role

Sentara Healthcare is seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join our team at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. As an Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for performing two-dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures to evaluate heart function and vessel abnormalities
  • Complete technologist reports in the structured report application
  • Meet the minimum requirements for the position, including a graduate degree in echocardiography or equivalent education and adult echocardiography registry within 12 months of hire

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in echocardiography or equivalent education
  • Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) within 12 months of hire
  • BLS certification required
