We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment, assisting pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services, including patient counseling and other health services.
- Perform duties as assigned and supervised by the pharmacist, including reviewing and complying with Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy.
- Develop strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform tasks such as registering sales, handling cash, and maintaining inventory management activities.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance of the Pharmacy Department.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Prefer good math skills so you can fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing.
