Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Collections Specialist to join our team at OneMain Financial. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for contacting delinquent customers to arrange for repayment or settlement of account balances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate contact with customers via telephone to discuss charge-off accounts and arrange for repayment or settlement.
  • Negotiate with customers to resolve accounts in accordance with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer and account information, including documentation and updates.
  • Utilize online skip tracing tools to investigate and research consumer information.
  • Work in a goal-oriented environment to meet production indicators and achieve individual and team performance targets.
  • Maintain compliance with FDCPA and state regulations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Collections or call center experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
