The Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for implementing therapeutic programs aimed at restoring physical function, preventing disabilities, and assisting patients in achieving optimal performance. This role involves designing treatment plans that may include exercise, manual therapy, thermal modalities, aquatic therapy, and the use of specialized equipment. Continuous assessment of patient progress and documentation of outcomes are essential components of this position.
- Engage in services across various specialties including cardiac rehabilitation, oncology, and neurology
- Contribute to a Level II Trauma Center
- Be part of a facility equipped with advanced emergency and surgical services
- Work within an accredited Chest Pain Center and Stroke Care Team
The institution is recognized for its comprehensive programs, including a Primary Stroke Center, Cancer Care services, and a dedicated Heart Institute, which provides cutting-edge cardiac treatment.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Familiarity with the ethical standards set by the Physical Therapy Association
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- New graduates are welcome; prior experience is advantageous
- Possession of a valid license from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Examiners
- Current CPR certification is mandatory
