Job Title: Mechanical CFD Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical CFD Engineer to join our team at EMIT Technologies, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our gas compressor control system research and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and apply mathematical models of gas compression equipment temperatures, pressures, and flows.
  • Collaborate with controls engineers to implement and review compressor models.
  • Conduct field and market research to validate and improve models.
  • Support fabrication of mechanical components and gather/interpret compression-related data.
  • Assist customers with optimizing gas compression equipment and document performance and failure data of mechanical systems.
  • Generate mechanical drawings and models for internal assembly purposes and marketing.
  • Work individually and with engineers of multiple disciplines within and outside of their general function.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge or experience in the natural gas industry a plus.
  • Experience with CFD modeling using ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+, COMSOL, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamic theories and gas compression equipment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment and handle various projects and duties as assigned.
