Job Title: Plastics Automation Technician III

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plastics Automation Technician III to join our team at Kohler Co. This individual will be responsible for repairing and maintaining computer-controlled systems and robotic devices used within the facility to reduce human intervention and maximize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain automated systems, including electronics, mechanics, and computers.
  • Perform routine checks on systems, monitor systems, and isolate problems.
  • Determine if problems are electrical or mechanical and perform repair or replacement of necessary components.
  • Train operators on changes made within the automation systems.
  • Review and understand programmable logic controller (PLC) programming.
  • Stay abreast of new technology and research innovative ways to improve production processes.
  • Clearly communicate changes made to processes or equipment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Robotics and PLC controllers.
  • Knowledge of Auto-Cad and Inventor Software.
  • Good reading and writing skills.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to work well with other associates.
  • Self-starter with good motivation.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds to waist level with aids.
  • Ability to lift over 40 pounds over shoulders.
