Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Marmon Holdings, Inc. as a key member of our manufacturing department. As a Welder, you will be responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications; cut material with powered saws to match measurements
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
  • Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a welder
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
  • A valid and active Driver's License is required
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is required

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to safely operate the overhead crane and forklift
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools such as grinder, hammer, wrench, and pry bar
  • Ability to read prints and drawings
  • Understands metric measurements and standard measurements
  • Ability to work well with others including all levels of management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Professional AWS Certification is a plus
