About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Charles E. Smith Life Communities. As a key member of our accounting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with US GAAP principles.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly journal entries, budget variances, and financial close and reporting.
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Provide financial analysis and interpretation to management, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and program directors to interpret financial results and address inquiries and issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expert-level proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, with strong communication and analytical skills.
