Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Care Center Agent to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, scheduling appointments, and ensuring accurate demographic information and insurance verification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments for patients by phone, utilizing time management and customer service skills to facilitate phone calls with patients, staff, and others.
  • Maintain accurate and complete scheduling records, confirming updates and staying up-to-date with system services to facilitate efficient patient access.
  • Obtain referrals, authorizations, and demographic information for patients, verifying insurance information to maximize reimbursement with third-party payers.
  • Communicate with supervisors about patient concerns and system problems, analyzing situations and responding appropriately.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology preferred.
  • Proven basic computer skills and ability to type 35 words per minute.
  • One year of experience in a switchboard, medical practice, or call center preferred.
Work Environment

This is a non-exempt position that requires sitting for extended periods, with occasional walking and standing. The work environment is fast-paced and requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
