Job Overview:

As a pivotal member of the nursing programs, the Nursing Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the orchestration of clinical, simulation, and laboratory placements. This role is essential in enhancing program outcomes while ensuring adherence to regulatory and clinical standards for both students and faculty. The coordinator collaborates closely with students, faculty, program leadership, and clinical partners to foster a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage clinical, laboratory, simulation, and preceptorship schedules, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Onboard and maintain compliance requirements for clinical sites, managing digital compliance trackers and online cohort pages.
  • Serve as the primary contact for compliance-related inquiries and attend student orientations to present clinical site requirements.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Director of Nursing, including student tracking and records maintenance.
  • Oversee purchasing for nursing programs, ensuring budget adherence and compliance with procurement procedures.
  • Monitor part-time faculty, conduct recruitment, and facilitate regular meetings to ensure effective faculty engagement.
  • Maintain consistent office hours and contribute to faculty committees aimed at enhancing student success and program quality.

Additional Information:
This position is classified staff and is eligible for the benefits package offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia for state agencies. The hiring range for this position is $54,418.00-$80, Salary will commensurate with education and experience.
