Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in projects as needed and support the strategic initiatives of the Planning leadership team.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication between Planning and IT departments, maintaining connections with IT Product teams involved in Planning Solutions.
  • Contribute to the success of the Planning Team by understanding business requirements and identifying optimal solutions, while challenging existing practices.
  • Share administrative responsibilities for Planning systems, acting as the 'Product Owner' for 'Planning Analytics' and 'MSO' to ensure consistent performance.
  • Develop, document, and refine the operations, practices, and procedures of the Business Planning team, ensuring alignment with system functionalities and driving empowered associates towards profitable outcomes.
  • Exhibit strong leadership capabilities and the ability to influence and motivate peers and leaders.
  • Mentor and enhance the Planning team's understanding of systems and processes as a trusted Planning & Systems SME.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence teams/tools to assess and generate meaningful data and exception reports.
  • Quickly assimilate technical information and communicate effectively across various levels, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Coordinate and develop centralized training for new Business Planning team members on the fundamentals of our Planning Tools and Systems.
  • Proactively stay informed about Carhartt Business Units and their ongoing performance and strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a planning or forecasting role.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of retail mathematics and forecasting methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels, including management and retail partners.
  • A flexible team player who excels in environments that require strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects and deliverables.
  • A self-driven, passionate, and enthusiastic individual eager to contribute positively to the business.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications (MS Office and Planning tools).

Work Environment and Conditions

  • Standard office environment; cubicle or office setting.
  • Occasional work outside of regular hours may be required.
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, and typing on a computer are necessary.
  • Travel may be required, up to 10% of the time.
  • This position allows for remote work, with limited on-site travel for special events.
