Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Heartis Venice, a luxury senior living community in Venice, Florida. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working closely with the Director of Wellness to ensure the highest level of care and service.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor nursing staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional care to our residents.
  • Perform routine nursing duties, including administering medications and treatments, observing and reporting symptoms and conditions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Wellness to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing assistants, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to provide high-quality care.
  • Participate in daily rounds of all residents, observing and reporting any changes or concerns.
  • Administer emergency first aid and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized nurse's station, med room, and cart, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Assist in the orientation of new staff members, ensuring that they are familiar with our community's policies and procedures.
  • Complete admission and discharge evaluations as necessary, ensuring that all necessary information is documented and communicated to the Director of Wellness.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, currently licensed to practice in the state of Florida.
  • Work experience in the geriatric field, preferably in an assisted living or memory care setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and staff, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • CPR certification, or obtained within 90 days of hire and yearly thereafter.
