We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Heartis Venice, a luxury senior living community in Venice, Florida. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working closely with the Director of Wellness to ensure the highest level of care and service.
Responsibilities- Supervise and monitor nursing staff to ensure the highest quality care is provided to residents.
- Perform routine nursing duties, including administering medications and treatments, observing and reporting symptoms and conditions, and maintaining accurate records.
- Supervise Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure that all nursing care is given properly, safely, and with the utmost quality.
- Administer emergency first aid and ensure that daily assignments for patient care and incidental duties are carried out.
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the nurse's station, med room, and cart.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff and complete admission and discharge evaluations as necessary.
- Check equipment for cleanliness and condition and provide guidance for nursing assistants.
- Promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships with residents, visitors, and personnel.
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, currently licensed to practice per state.
- Work experience in the geriatric field.
- Ability to communicate well and in writing.
- Ability to deal with visitors, staff, and residents in a courteous manner.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure at times.
- Must be able to perform good grooming practices, personal hygiene, and be punctual and regular in attendance.
- Must have a warm, friendly, congenial personality and present a professional appearance.
- Ability to assess a resident's condition and intervene when needed.
- CPR certified, or obtained within 90 days of hire and yearly thereafter.
