Job Description

Job Summary: Penn State University is seeking a part-time Technology Coach and Learning Facilitator to assist students, faculty, and staff with learning how to use different technology tools, services, and software to accomplish their day-to-day teaching and learning and/or business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students, faculty, and staff with learning how to use technology tools, services, and software.
  • Support technology-related faculty engagement sessions and training sessions both in an online and in-person environment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on the use of technology tools, services, and software.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops on the use of technology tools, services, and software.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify technology needs and develop solutions.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with technology tools, services, and software, including Canvas, Zoom, and Office 365.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology tools, services, and software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Experience with training and development.
Clearances:
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check.
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form.
  • FBI Criminal Background Check.
