Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Prysmian Group, a world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, as a Jacketing Production Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of production staff, providing guidance and direction to achieve daily production goals, and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of production staff to achieve daily production goals.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the team to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.
  • Troubleshoot machines and assist in evaluating problems, suggesting possible solutions.
  • Ensure all team members are supplied with the proper PPEs and are using them in accordance with job requirements.
  • Complete safety checks and audits of equipment throughout the production process.
  • First responder for medical emergencies, trained in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
  • Monitor and update SAP notifications daily.
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
  • Two to five years of experience in a leadership capacity within manufacturing with shift or area ownership required.
  • Two-Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to grow relationships with business partners and to lead, coach, and develop employees.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead organizational initiatives and change.
  • Time management, delegation, and organization skills with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Continuous improvement or process improvement experience, Green belt or black belt certification preferred.
  • Prior experience with TPM a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite applications, SAP experience a plus.
  • Grasp of financial factors related to operations performance.
  • Understanding of production processes.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
