Key Responsibilities- Assist individuals with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and transportation.
- Engage residents in activities of choice, reinforcing Individualized Support Plan (ISP) goals.
- Provide transportation and supervision as dictated by individual program.
- Ensure accurate recording of daily activities, problems, and needs of residents in daily logs.
- Meet personal hygiene and grooming needs of residents.
- Use proper body mechanics to lift, move, and position residents, and provide prescribed exercises and physical care.
- Inspect homes to ensure safety requirements are met, checking for clutter and hazardous objects.
- Conduct evacuation drills and follow program plans for emergencies and disasters.
- Clean and sanitize appliances, utensils, and work surfaces according to Personal Care Home Rules and Regulations.
- Cook and prepare meals.
- Report equipment problems to supervisors.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchen, and telephones daily.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Uphold confidentiality requirements and protect client rights.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50lb with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Valid driver's license.
- CPR/FA certification.
- 1-2 years' experience working with individuals with disabilities or related field preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
