About the Role

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Navigation Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing navigation systems for our lunar vehicles. Your expertise will help us achieve our mission of establishing a human presence in space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy state-of-the-art navigation algorithms for inertial and relative navigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate navigation software with spacecraft systems
  • Contribute to the development of embedded navigation software using C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink
  • Verify navigation software implementation through rigorous testing and analysis
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field, plus a Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Operational knowledge of state estimation algorithms and Kalman filters
  • Experience with build systems, version control, and testing methodologies
  • Strong software development and design skills with emphasis on C++ and Simulink/MATLAB
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Experience in spacecraft navigation systems development
  • Knowledge of sensor device drivers and I/O
  • Experience with verification and test of embedded software and systems
