JROTC Instructor

We are seeking a qualified JROTC Instructor to join our team at Broward County Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic and supportive environment.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Provide guidance and support to students in their academic and personal development.
• Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve school and district goals.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

• A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• At least 20 years of military service, including 20 years of commissioned officer experience.
• A letter from the sponsoring service indicating certification as a JROTC instructor.
• Documentation of military service, including a DD214 or equivalent.

Preferred candidates will have:

• Experience teaching in a military or educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Candidates will have frequent contact with students, parents, and colleagues.

The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting.
