Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Loan Support Specialist to join our team at SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our Real Estate Department, you will provide exceptional support to our Loan Consultants and ensure a seamless loan origination process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Internal Support: Respond to inquiries and serve as the escalation point for team members seeking additional assistance with the loan origination process.
  • Quality Control: Conduct routine audits of loan application files to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor department compliance with ECOA – Regulation B process, HMDA, and timelines through the use of reports and loan consultant interaction.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve loan application issues / errors within the loan origination platform system(s).
  • Coordination: Coordinate scheduling and distribution of funding confirmation calls to Members and Dispatch referral calls for loan consultants.
  • Communication: Manage electronic communications received from Members in various channels.
  • Assistance: Assist with loan consultant functions when necessary.
  • Ordering and Follow-up: Order and follow-up on outside services, i.e. Appraisal, Escrow, Title, etc.
  • Lock Desk Management: Manage and administer daily functions of the Lock Desk, including verifying our company's daily loan pricing, manually locking and verifying new loan lock requests, lock reinstatements, and cancellations.
Additional Job Functions
  • Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements, including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties.
