Job Overview:

  • Responsible for ensuring that vendors provide high-quality components, materials, and services.
  • Evaluates suppliers based on company criteria and may oversee a Certified Supplier Program during receiving inspections to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Tracks components from procurement through the production process, addressing and resolving supplier-related issues as they arise.
  • Fosters a cooperative relationship with suppliers to swiftly tackle any discrepancies.
  • Facilitates thorough root cause analyses with suppliers, ensuring that corrective measures are enacted and monitored for effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with the supply chain to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Utilizes feedback from incoming inspections, internal quality metrics, and customer feedback to drive improvements.
  • Prepares and reviews testing plans and reports for qualification and validation activities related to supplier certifications and changes.
  • Works alongside operational teams to resolve issues and achieve consensus when necessary.
  • Partners with Component Engineers to create and execute the Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy, manage the Approved Supplier List, and develop Control Plans for new products.
  • Defines requirements for Receiving Inspections and validates associated testing methods for all internal testing protocols.
  • Leads the execution of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) with suppliers, ensuring comprehensive process qualification and validation through Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) methodologies.
  • Conducts supplier audits to ensure compliance and quality standards.
