Position Summary:
This role is essential in supporting the Compliance and Operational Risk officer team in executing the second line of defense for compliance and operational risk oversight within a Front Line Unit, Control Function, or Third Parties. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to the Global Compliance Enterprise Policy and the Operational Risk Management Enterprise Policy, as well as implementing the Compliance and Operational Risk Management Program and Standard Operating Procedures. The position also involves identifying, addressing, and mitigating risks promptly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in evaluating risks and controls, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies while developing necessary documentation.
  • Support the Compliance and Operational Risk teams in providing independent oversight of Front Line Unit or Control Function performance and associated third-party relationships.
  • Identify and escalate compliance and operational risk issues, driving actions to address root causes.
  • Contribute to the development of independent risk management reporting for relevant areas.
  • Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and audits.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and maintain a comprehensive inventory of applicable regulations.
Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk, audit, legal, or business controls.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with Bank of America's Single Process Inventory.
  • Knowledge of operational units and consumer banking products.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements related to consumer products.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and identify control gaps.
