Irrigation Technician

At TROLLCO INC, we are seeking a highly skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, installation, maintenance, and repair of manual, semi-automatic, and automatic irrigation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the superintendent in performing preventative maintenance on designated systems.
• Repair irrigation system defects and ensure the system is functioning efficiently.
• Assist in maintaining parts inventory and making irrigation orders with approval.
• Perform preventative maintenance and curative maintenance on pump stations.
• Operate main pumps and pump controllers, and maintain daily records of activities and expenses.
• Check the irrigation system daily for leaks, lakes, and dry areas, and inventory irrigation parts and supplies.
• Operate and maintain light utility vehicles and powered equipment, and train maintenance employees in irrigation processes.
• Assist in reading water meters and documenting water use, and record changes in irrigation system component routings or locations on the working copy of the system as-built drawings.

Requirements:

• One to three years of experience in golf course maintenance.
• Knowledge and principles of electric hydraulic, pipe, and fittings pump stations, and record keeping.
• Understanding of agronomy, turf grass science, and Rules of Golf, and knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in grounds and landscape area maintenance work.
• High school degree or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

• Expected Pay Range: $20-$26 per hour.
• Shift type: Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays.
