Job Summary

The Americold Summer Internship Experience is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship that takes place over the summer term in various locations throughout the country. This internship provides a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable knowledge and skills in distribution operations, automated warehouses, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the coordination and execution of warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, and shipping of customer products.
• Collaborate with leaders and teams to improve inventory control processes and optimize warehouse operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve labor and transportation planning, and reduce costs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university for an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Operations, or a related field of study.
• Prior intern and/or work experience in a related field, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent technical skills, including a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to influence and think creatively and strategically, with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
