Job Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Kansas City Public Schools. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to providing a high-quality education to our students.
Responsibilities:- Instruct students in mathematics by lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations.
- Prepare mathematic course objectives and outlines for courses of study following curriculum guidelines and requirements of state and school.
- Assign mathematic lessons and correct homework.
- Administer tests to evaluate pupil progress, record results, and issue reports to inform parents of progress.
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and meet with parents to discuss student progress and problems.
- Participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
- Perform related duties such as sponsoring activities or student organizations, assisting pupils in selecting a course of study, and counseling students in adjustment and academic problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or any field acceptable for Missouri State Teacher Certification.
- Missouri State Teacher Certification in Mathematics.
- Demonstrated ability to teach in secondary education.
