Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bin 189 Restaurant Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant and responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your role will involve ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, and serving food and beverages. You will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with guests to take drink and food orders.
  • Communicate with the kitchen for food ordering.
  • Ensure prompt delivery of food to the guests' table.
  • Have working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine, and food that is served.
  • Suggest pairings of food to wine or beer; additional menu items, specials, or promotions to enhance the dining experience.
  • Handle all checks and cash according to procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant, including polished flatware, clean glassware, and plates.
  • Be familiar with all property amenities.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, stewards, bussers, hostess, and other servers to ensure smooth service while maintaining a positive work environment.
Marginal Functions
  • Breaking down and resetting non-food and beverage areas.
  • General side work, including but not limited to cleaning, polishing, and vacuuming.
  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager on duty.
  • Help in other areas of the restaurant, including hostess, steward, or other.
Environment

The Server will work in a dimly lit, carpeted, and climate-controlled environment. The kitchen floors may be hard and occasionally slippery or greasy. The Server will handle hot plates, glasses, and silverware. The outdoor areas may have cement surfaces and exposure to outdoor climate and elements.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of restaurant or event service experience required.
  • Wine, Beer, Specialty Drink, and Food experience required.
  • High volume experience.
  • Good food and service knowledge.
  • Extensive wine knowledge.
  • Pleasant, outgoing, engaging personality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • RBS certificate and San Bernardino County Food Handlers Certificate required or must be obtained.
  • Must be able to adhere to a flexible working schedule.
