Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Developer to join our team at Enclave. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for overseeing the life cycle of various development projects, from concept to closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the communication and coordination of consultant teams, including land planners, engineers, architects, and utility companies.
  • Drive the development process by updating schedules, budgets, timelines, financial information, projections, and closings.
  • Partner with the general contractor as necessary to address issues as they arise and ensure the project schedule is maintained.
  • Receive and disseminate critical information to stakeholders impacted by schedule changes, city/code issues, budget variances, etc.
  • Apply analytical skills to evaluate the economic and financial performance of commercial real estate projects.
  • Assist with the procurement of development partners by thoroughly reviewing, vetting, and coordinating contracts.
  • Manage the development checklist and workflow process, including land due diligence, risk analysis, feasibility analysis, entitlements, design and construction contracts, easement and covenant review, city requirements, scheduling, and overall budget tracking.
  • Conduct cursory market analysis as well as feasibility and financial analysis of potential development and value-add investments.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in architecture, civil site design, construction, city planning, development, or other related roles.
  • Experience working with architects, engineers, contractors, and property managers to execute an overall vision, strategy, and plan for development/redevelopment of commercial real estate.
  • Must be willing to travel (day trips) to various job sites and potential site locations within the upper midwest.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  • Well organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects in different stages of development.
  • Ability to facilitate strong working relationships and work with a diverse set of stakeholders at a high level.
