Your Daily Responsibilities...

As a member of Block Advisors in the role of Tax Consultant, you will assist clients with a variety of tax and business service requirements throughout the year. You will benefit from a knowledgeable team that is committed to equipping you with the advanced tax training necessary for your success.

What You Will Contribute:

  • Establish ongoing client relationships
  • Deliver tax preparation, audit assistance, and strategic tax planning throughout the year
  • Instill confidence in clients by conducting tax interviews both in-person and via virtual platforms (video calls, phone, chat, email)
  • Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and promote additional products and services
  • Enhance your tax knowledge and skills

Your Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in tax
  • Proficient in preparing individual tax returns
  • Experience in tax planning and audit support
  • Strong communication skills, both in-person and virtually
  • Familiarity with virtual communication tools such as video conferencing and chat
  • Experience in a dynamic, supportive work environment
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or a comparable qualification
  • Must fulfill continuing education requirements and comply with all IRS and applicable state regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a CPA or Enrolled Agent
  • Experience in preparing business tax returns
  • Experience in conducting virtual tax interviews
  • Background in sales and/or marketing
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
