Job Summary

Bridgewell is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our community transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting individuals with disabilities and other life challenges to and from our day sites and residences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Transportation Services: Safely transport individuals to and from assigned programs and locations, adhering to established routes and timeframes.
  2. Passenger Care: Interact with passengers and their families in a patient and sensitive manner, ensuring a positive experience for those in your care.
  3. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including cleaning, safety inspections, and reporting any issues to management.
  4. Emergency Procedures: Be familiar with emergency procedures and protocols, including reporting any incidents or issues to management.
  5. Communication: Maintain open communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure seamless transportation services.
Requirements
  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Experience: At least 3 years of driving experience and a valid MA or neighboring state driver's license.
  3. Background Check: Pass a CORI check and a fingerprint-based national criminal background check.
Physical Demands
  1. Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and operate a 12-passenger van and/or a handicap-accessible van.
  2. Vision and Hearing: Normal range of eyesight and hearing with or without corrective lenses or equipment.
