Chief of Radiology Job Description

About the Role

The Chief of Radiology will oversee all clinical operations in the Radiology Department, ensuring high-quality services are provided to patients. This leadership position requires strategic planning, quality improvement, and effective communication with healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement program for the Radiology Department.
  2. Create a strategic plan for the Radiology Department and direct the development of new clinical programs.
  3. Assure the Radiology Department meets all regulatory requirements.
  4. Select and supervise radiologists and other providers in the department.
  5. Collaborate with administration and network director to ensure optimal imaging services are provided.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong medical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams. A Board Eligible/Board Certified Radiologist with an active NYS medical license is required.
