Position: Bartender

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has a rich history of educating and entertaining the community for over a century. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and provide exceptional service to our guests. This role involves bartending at various events and concession areas under the guidance of experienced staff. This is a part-time, non-exempt position as defined by the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit high energy and a positive attitude in a lively, fast-paced environment.
  • Serve beverages during events at multiple locations while effectively using a Point-of-Sale system.
  • Adhere to all operational policies and procedures when processing beverage orders, managing glassware, tracking inventory, and documenting usage accurately.
  • Prepare and set up bars in different areas for events.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of consumption and related reports.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Previous bartending experience is essential.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of food and beverage standards.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, remain on your feet, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
