Job Overview

Aegis Worldwide is collaborating with a prominent manufacturing firm seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a background in a production environment, particularly with plastics. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Shift Details

Night Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM

Compensation Package

Starting at $28 per hour, with an additional $2 per hour shift premium and a $2 per hour raise after training (1-2 months).

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations
  • Maintain attendance and comply with safety standards
  • Service blown film production machinery to reduce downtime and waste
  • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance as directed by the Team Leader
  • Complete outstanding work orders promptly as instructed
  • Document daily activities in the shift report and Plant Maintenance Log
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop
  • Assemble, disassemble, and upgrade production lines or support equipment as necessary
  • Conduct regular inspections of production lines and schedule preventive maintenance
  • Perform welding tasks on metal components as required
  • Be available for overtime as needed
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with maintenance staff
  • Order necessary parts for repairs
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Utilize all required personal safety equipment and follow safety protocols
  • Consistently perform daily tasks, including paperwork and computer entries
Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to climb stairs
  • Experience working from secured platforms up to 40 feet high
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience: 2-4 years in industrial electrical repair, including drives, instrumentation, and process controls for high-speed production equipment
  • Special Skills: Basic mechanical and electrical skills are essential
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and repair skills for mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong teamwork abilities
