Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our Medical-Surgical Unit at UT Health San Antonio. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, collaborate with physicians and interprofessional staff, and contribute to a culture of excellence and compassion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to a diverse population, conducting thorough assessments, administering medications, and performing procedures as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and achievement of desired treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in unit and shared governance initiatives, serving as a preceptor to students and new employees, and contributing to service line and hospital-wide initiatives.
  • Assume leadership roles, demonstrating clinical competence, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of Texas.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.
