Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Shelter Monitor is responsible for:

  • Ensuring a Safe Environment: Assist new residents with intake procedures, provide immediate necessities, and maintain a clean and secure shelter.
  • Supervision: Offer continuous oversight of youth, assist with daily routines, and conduct regular security checks to ensure safety.
  • Meeting Essential Needs: Distribute clothing, hygiene products, and nutritious meals while monitoring health requirements and organizing donations.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively during shift changes, participate in training sessions, and maintain all necessary certifications to support youth effectively.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with youth is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Clear background check with no evidence of criminal activity involving vulnerable populations.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it.
Working Conditions

This role may involve exposure to individuals with behavioral challenges and various mental health issues. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding environment, requiring the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting pay for this position is $16.00 per hour, with full-time benefits available after a specified period of employment. Benefits include:
