Our team is seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Operations Specialist to create, maintain, support, and improve complex cloud operations for cutting-edge microservice-based platforms.

As a key member of our team, you will work alongside talented DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Agile Delivery Leads, and Technical Product Managers who share a passion for driving innovation in mobility, safety, and convenience services.

We value individuals who think big and enjoy getting their hands dirty to help us build exciting initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, evolve, and build CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain, support, and build out infrastructure and services currently operating on AWS.
  • Creatively solve technical issues.
  • Deliver solutions in a complex environment including distributed systems and applications.
Assist in building world-class, multi-cloud capable, state-of-the-art products by:

  • Automating build processes
  • Incorporating static code quality tools
  • Helping identify code promotion qualities
  • Utilizing and promoting the use of advanced deployment patterns like Canary and Blue/Green
  • Building highly resilient cloud ecosystems capable of high availability and scale
  • Deploying to public cloud providers like AWS
  • Developing and maintaining applications that use Docker containers, Kubernetes as an orchestrator, or as full VMs with base images.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1.5+ years of production experience working as a DevOps Engineer or Software Engineer
  • Experience authoring infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Hands-on experience in cloud computing using AWS
  • Experience building and running containers
  • Experience writing and automating tasks using shell scripting
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, Agile software engineering environment
  • Experience in CI/CD with technologies such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar
  • Demonstrates problem-solving, troubleshooting, decision-making skills
  • Solutions-oriented with an ability to keep an open mind while finding agreeable solutions
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to develop healthy working relationships and collaborate with peers and leaders
  • Exhibits integrity and high standards in work quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Values diversity and differences amongst individuals in interactions

Added Bonus if you have:

  • Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes
  • Experience with Amazon EKS, Helm, and/or Kustomize
  • Experience with GitLab CI
