About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive individual to provide monitoring and oversight of participant's medical care to ensure their needs are being met. The ideal candidate will promote the maintenance of optimum health and reduction of potential injury.
Responsibilities- Monitor the health and well-being of participants according to OPWDD regulations.
- Provide ongoing training regarding infection control, blood-borne pathogens, signs and symptoms of illness, including program participants' medical needs and medications, first-aid and emergency medical procedures.
- Attend meetings in the community as an Agency representative.
- Maintain compliance and ensure department staff maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Obtain medical services for all participants and assist with coordinating services with medical personnel and other agencies.
Registered Nurse, licensed in New York State, with two years of experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Must be able to work independently, use personal and professional discretion, prioritize outcomes, and interact with other medical providers in the community.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
